The Leek Day event is organized by the municipality of Vasilevo every year. From 2008 until now, the Manifestation has successfully combined the promotion of leeks, an agricultural crop that is traditionally grown in the town of Gradashorci, the promotion of the municipality and its climate as an agricultural region with fun and entertainment for all generations, while also having an impact on the development of rural tourism, which has been expanding especially in the last few years. The event takes place every year on the first week of November, regardless of which date is chosen. The event is held in the courtyard of the church of St. Nikola in the village of Gradashorci.
The visitors present not only have the opportunity to buy leeks from local producers, but also on the spot to taste food with leeks, specially prepared for the event by housewives from Gradashorci and surrounding settlements.
The event, which has long been a brand for the municipality of Vasilevo, also has a rich cultural and entertainment section, in which students from the two primary municipal schools Gotse Delchev and Atanas Nivichanski participated with their musical and literary performances, KUD "Sushevski biseri" from Suševo with a set of dances from their repertoire and various pop artists. Among the numerous domestic and foreign guests, the mayor of the twinned municipality of Pontenure, R. Italy, representatives from the municipality of Kresna, R. Bulgaria, the ambassadors of R. Italy and R. Austria in R. Macedonia, representatives from religious communities, mayors, MPs were present. , representatives from political parties as well as numerous collaborators and partners of the municipality of Vasilevo.
